This Bourke St Tragedy


and NAB’s response…  For starters $50k was donated by the big bank I am contracted to working at.

During times of crisis it’s important for us to be aware of how we respond and also how others are reacting. Many of our own people work in Bourke St but we recognise the impact of this event has been far reaching across many communities and we are committed to doing what we can to help others in their time of need.

To honour this commitment, we are donating $50,000 to the Victorian Government Fund from the NAB Natural Disaster and Crisis Relief Fund (managed by our Corporate Responsibility team) to support the families of those who died.

In addition, we have also agreed to match any of your donations. A dedicated account has been set up to help track this and we will match every dollar donated by you. Account details for your personal contributions are below:

three day fast!


Spent my birthday out eating and going about my day as normal.  Then January 2, 3 and 4 I decided to do the fast. My last meal was dinner on January 1, which we ate in Richmond – Superbowl.


Monday – skipped breakfast as toast was being served up. For lunch I had a peppermint tea as Glynis ate pasta with Quentin at Lygon St. I didnt feel hungry and lasted until dinner where I had just had plaint clear soup at Roast Duck Inn.

Tuesday – skipped breakfast, and back to work I survived on peppermint tea all day. At the end of the day I felt queezy and so I decided for dinner I was going to have an avocado.

Wednesday – skipped breakfast, lunch, and survived on peppermint tea all day which lasted me until dinner time where I had some home made pasta!
